New Delhi: Putin will land in India on December 4 evening. This is his first India trip in four years. PM Modi will host a private dinner for him. The venue will be 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. This visit marks 25 years of India-Russia partnership. It is strategically very important. Many new announcements are expected.
On December 5, events begin at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Putin will get a ceremonial tri-services guard of honour. He will then visit Rajghat. There he will pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Security will remain extremely tight at all locations. Delegations from both sides will join.
Around 11 am, the summit starts at Hyderabad House. PM Modi and President Putin will lead the discussions. Many major agreements are expected this time. Deals may include defence, trade and energy. Technology and space cooperation will also be discussed. A joint statement will come after the talks.
Around 4 pm, both leaders will reach Bharat Mandapam. They will address the India-Russia Business Forum together. Talks will focus on boosting trade. Business ties have grown strongly recently. Leaders will aim for even bigger targets. Private companies from both nations will join discussions.
A labour mobility agreement is almost ready. Skilled Indians may soon work in Russia legally. Sectors include construction, healthcare and hospitality. A free-trade deal with Eurasian Economic Union may be discussed. Civil nuclear cooperation is also on agenda. India seeks safe return of citizens in Russian forces.
In the evening around 7 pm, a state banquet will be held. President Droupadi Murmu will host Putin. Cultural programmes are likely during the dinner. The day will end with official photographs. Putin will leave late evening on December 5. Total stay time is nearly 30 hours.
Russia Today will launch its India bureau. Around 100 staff will operate from New Delhi. Media cooperation will strengthen communication ties. Officials say this visit opens a new chapter. Strategic partnership will grow faster now. India and Russia want long-term global cooperation.
